How to add Google Analytics to a Genesis theme?
- Open the WordPress Dashboard
- On the right hand side you will see a menu called Genesis
- Select the Genesis theme settings – this will now take you to the customiser (UPDATED)
- Scroll to the bottom and find the section called Header and Footer Scripts. Paste your code into the to box called Header. This code will output immediately before the closing
</head>tag in the document source.
To see if you have added the code correctly view your website in your browser and log into Google Analytics – you should be able to see your own visit in the Real Time – Overview section.
