The Navitas Story
16 years ago Navitas Design initially built static websites for small businesses and charities. We soon moved to working with WordPress, specialising in bespoke, fit-for-purpose websites, which meet the exact requirements of our clients.
Navitas Design is proud to support our customers during their entire website journey. In addition to the initial build, we offer training in how to use WordPress and also in how to engage a website with social media. We love working with out clients to improve their local SEO on-going.
At Navitas, we understand the importance of a website as a tool to grow and develop your business. We encourage and recommend development training so that clients can improve their website skills.
For businesses which don’t have spare capacity to operate their website, Navitas Design has a team of professionals – from copywriting and SEO to technical experts – who can take on the ongoing maintenance of your website.
Lorraine Cheney
As founder of Navitas Design, Lorraine has a strong work ethic and a passion for running her own business. She has taken great pride in seeing Navitas Design grow over the last 16 years.
Sustainability is huge part of Lorraine’s life. As well as being vegan Lorraine tries where possible to avoid buying new, creates as little waste as possible and runs the business as sustainably as is possible. She is often working at the seafront in Southend-On-Sea from her camper van.
When Lorraine isn’t at work, she enjoys cooking, running and walks with her dogs. She is also partial to spinning and house music.
Hope Cheney
Hope has been working for Navitas since finishing University in 2025.
Hope works on our maintenance and is instrumental in our social media campaigns. Hope is also doing a PhD at the University of Liverpool so incredibly busy.
When she isn’t working, Hope is a dive instructor and travels the world more than any other person we know 🙂
Jane Olds
Jane has an incredible eye for detail and precise organisational skills, which make her an ideal colleague for Lorraine. Jane makes sure nothing gets missed on the admin side of the business and is also an accomplished proofreader and the final pair of eyes on a finished website.
Jane is a hardworking member of the local community and always happy to answer a client’s questions.
