Moving from Bicester to Southend
The last 12 months have brought about some big changes. One of the most significant was my move from Bicester to Southend. At first, it felt sudden and overwhelming, but looking back, it has given me the breathing space I needed — both in life and in business.
Living in Southend has helped me find clarity about the clients I love to work with most. My passion is designing websites for female service-based business owners, coaches, and consultants. These are women who put their heart into their work, who care about making an impact, and who want websites that truly support their goals.
Clients Who Inspire Me
I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible women this year. Recently, I partnered with Tracy Ollerenshaw of Sober Glimmers, a coach making a huge impact on the sober coaching scene. I also had the privilege of working with Claire Harris from Pets 2 Places. Claire’s business offers both pet taxis and pet taxi franchise opportunities, and together we separated her website into two distinct sites. This gave each area of her business its own clear voice, while keeping the branding consistent across both.
For me, these projects reflect what I love most — helping business women bring clarity and confidence to their online presence.
A Personal Turning Point
This period of change has not only been about moving from Bicester to Southend or refining the type of clients I work with. It has also been deeply personal.
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. For many women, especially later in life, diagnosis can take years. I feel lucky that I was able to get answers relatively quickly. More than anything, it has given me clarity. Suddenly, the way I think, work, and create makes sense.
That understanding has helped me see my weaknesses but has also helped me lean into my strengths, creativity, energy, and determination. I’m still working on building improved systems to keep me on track. This means I can focus on delivering my very best work to the women I support.
